Yes. The Base Layer is required for all customers. It contains the core infrastructure Spark.work runs on, including people data, organization setup, access, and integrations. Without it, the platform cannot function as a system.
Active employees are users who have access to login and perform their respective functions granted by permissions in Spark.work during a billing period. Passive employees are company employees managed by active employees, with no access to login or self-service capabilities. They remain in the system for record-keeping and visibility but do not actively use Spark.work. Active employees are billed at $3 per month. Passive employees are billed at $1 per month.
Because Spark.work is used by people. Pricing scales with the number of active employees so companies pay in proportion to actual usage, not arbitrary tiers.
An active employee is a user with access to Spark.work during the billing period. Inactive, archived, or offboarded users are not counted.
No. Add-on bundles are fully optional. You select only the bundles your organization needs.
Yes. Bundles can be added or removed as your needs change. Pricing adjusts accordingly.
No. Each add-on bundle is independent. You can use any bundle without being forced to purchase others.
Yes. Spark.work is designed for organizations, not individuals. Minimum employee counts depend on the implementation and support scope and are discussed during onboarding.
Implementation fees may apply depending on: Organization size, Selected bundles, Required configuration or customization. All fees are discussed upfront. There are no surprise charges.
Contract terms depend on your agreement. Monthly and annual options are available. Longer commitments may include preferential pricing.
