FAQ

Have More Questions? We've Got You Covered

Is the Base Layer mandatory?

Yes. The Base Layer is required for all customers. It contains the core infrastructure Spark.work runs on, including people data, organization setup, access, and integrations. Without it, the platform cannot function as a system.

What's the difference between active and passive employees?

Active employees are users who have access to login and perform their respective functions granted by permissions in Spark.work during a billing period. Passive employees are company employees managed by active employees, with no access to login or self-service capabilities. They remain in the system for record-keeping and visibility but do not actively use Spark.work. Active employees are billed at $3 per month. Passive employees are billed at $1 per month.

Why is pricing per employee?

Because Spark.work is used by people. Pricing scales with the number of active employees so companies pay in proportion to actual usage, not arbitrary tiers.

What counts as an active employee?

An active employee is a user with access to Spark.work during the billing period. Inactive, archived, or offboarded users are not counted.

Do we have to buy all add-on bundles?

No. Add-on bundles are fully optional. You select only the bundles your organization needs.

Can we add or remove bundles later?

Yes. Bundles can be added or removed as your needs change. Pricing adjusts accordingly.

Are bundles dependent on each other?

No. Each add-on bundle is independent. You can use any bundle without being forced to purchase others.

Is there a minimum monthly price?

Yes. Spark.work is designed for organizations, not individuals. Minimum employee counts depend on the implementation and support scope and are discussed during onboarding.

Are there any setup or implementation fees?

Implementation fees may apply depending on: Organization size, Selected bundles, Required configuration or customization. All fees are discussed upfront. There are no surprise charges.

Are there long-term contracts?

Contract terms depend on your agreement. Monthly and annual options are available. Longer commitments may include preferential pricing.

Are discounts available?

Discounts may be available for: Long-term commitments, Larger organizations, Partner-led implementations. All discounts are explicit and documented. No hidden conditions.

Is support included in the price?

Yes. Standard support is included. Dedicated or extended support options may be available depending on your setup.

What happens if our employee count changes?

Your pricing adjusts with your active employee count. You don't overpay for users you no longer have.

Is Spark.work suitable for small companies?

Yes, if they need structure. Spark.work works best for companies that want clarity, accountability, and scalable people and performance management.

Can we see pricing before committing?

Yes. You'll see a clear breakdown of: Base Layer cost, Selected bundles, Per-employee pricing before any agreement is signed.
